Hot sleepers, cooler nights
What owners of the first Luna said, in their own words.
You know how the bed is nice and cool when you first get in, and in 5 minutes it is as warm as you are? Well, with this thing the bed never warms up. It's a game changer!
Keeps me from overheating in the middle of the night, pretty impressed. [...] I might buy a second.
Set up was super easy and quick, I had it set up and running in less than 30 min right before bedtime. Cooling is fantastic! I'm a hot sleeper sleeping in a heat wave, and this really helped!
You can feel it cool down and when you lay on it your skin becomes cool to the touch. Made the heatwave bearable
I've been happy with my unit getting me through some of our heatwaves (in a city with no AC!) and have been happy enough to back the V2 version

Luna is a comfort product, not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
Water in. Heat out.
No compressor, no ice packs, no gel that warms up after an hour. Luna keeps water moving, so the heat you give off never builds up under you.
- The pad takes your body heat
- Warm water flows to the tower
- The tower cools it, cooler water flows back
The pad takes the heat
Thin channels in the quilted pad carry water under your sheet. It absorbs the heat your body gives off.
The tower lets it go
Back in the tower, the warm water runs over an evaporative filter while a quiet fan cools it down.
Cool water comes back
The water returns to the pad up to 11-14°F below your room temperature, and the loop keeps going all night.
Luna uses evaporative cooling. It cools best in normal to dry rooms; in very humid rooms the effect is smaller.
Lights out. 3 a.m. Morning.
Get into a cool bed
Pick a level on the remote. Cool water starts moving under your side of the bed.
Still running
Luna keeps carrying heat away all night, so your side of the bed doesn't turn into a sauna.
Wake up to light
The sleep timer switched it off if you wanted it to. The sunrise light fades in before your alarm.

Everything you need, tonight

Five steps, then sleep.
Set Luna up once. After that, every night is one press on the remote.
-
1
Attach the legs
Fit the 4 wooden legs to the tower, or use the non-slip pads if you want it lower. Place it on the floor on your side of the bed.
-
2
Lay the pad
Put the pad on your side of the mattress and pull your fitted sheet over it.
-
3
Connect the hose
Connect the pad's tubes to the tower with the hose, and secure each connection with a clamp.
-
4
Fill the tank
Lift the magnetic cover and pour in clean water up to the MAX line.
-
5
Plug it in
Connect the power adapter to the tower and a wall outlet. That's it.
Tip: Fill to the MAX line, not above it. If the line is hard to see, shine a light through the side of the tank.
Quiet, light, and always on.
Water temperature compared with room temperature. The difference depends on room temperature, humidity and fan level.
Your side cool. Theirs untouched.
The pad covers one side of a queen or king bed, so only the person who runs hot gets cooled. If you both want it, get two Lunas: each side gets its own unit and its own setting.
Heating on, bed too warm?
Winter means a warm house and a heavy duvet. Keep the heating on for the rest of the house and keep your side of the bed cool. Waking up hot at 3 AM is not just a summer problem.
No icy shock. Just less heat.
Cold surfaces wake you up. Luna is not cold to the touch: it keeps removing the heat your body builds up, so your bed stays comfortable from midnight to morning.
One remote. Four buttons that matter.
No app, no Wi-Fi, no account. Everything is on the remote.
-
1
Turn it on
Press power on the remote. Water starts moving through the pad right away.
-
2
Pick a level
Choose 1 to 9. Levels 1-5 run one fan, levels 6-9 add the second fan for more cooling.
-
3
Set the timer
Optional: Luna switches itself off after 2, 4 or 6 hours.
-
4
Wake up to light
Use the sunrise light to fade in a warm glow before you get up.
Good to know: Most people sleep best on the lower levels. Start at 3 and adjust after a couple of nights.
From 32 dB on level 1.
Nine fan levels. The low ones are a soft hum, the high ones a gentle white noise. Pick the level that lets you sleep.
Wake up to a sunrise.
A warm light fades in before your alarm. Add the sleep timer (2, 4 or 6 hours) and Luna switches itself off when you no longer need it.
Fill it, then forget it.
Up to 2 weeks between refills with normal use, more often on high fan or in dry rooms. Pour in clean water through the wide top opening, and air-dry the pad every couple of weeks.
Rebuilt from what owners told us
[CONFIRM WITH THOMAS: show this only if the store ships V2.] The first Luna taught us a lot. V2 keeps the design people liked and fixes what they didn't.
-
1
Sealed electronics
The circuit board now sits in its own sealed enclosure, with silicone seals on every critical connection.
-
2
About 5 dB quieter
The fans are now sealed and water-resistant, which removes the hum. Levels run from 32 to 47 dB.
-
3
Longer hose
The hose grew from 1.1 m to 2 m, so the tower can sit further from your head.
-
4
Low-water warning
Luna warns you when the water runs low and protects itself if the tank runs dry.
Five minutes, every two weeks.
Keeping Luna clean keeps it quiet and keeps the water fresh.
-
1
Top up the water
Add clean water when the level gets low: up to every 2 weeks with normal use, more often on high levels or in dry rooms.
-
2
Disconnect cleanly
Turn Luna off, disconnect the pad tubes and attach the included spill-protection tube.
-
3
Air-dry the pad
Hang the pad to dry every two weeks.
-
4
Storing it
Drain the tank and the pad and let everything dry before you put Luna away.

Before you sleep on it
How long does setup take?
Five steps: legs, pad, hose, water, power. No tools and no app. See the setup guide above.
How cold does it get?
Luna cools the water up to 11-14°F below your room temperature. In an 86°F room, that means water around 72-75°F in good conditions. It feels cool, not icy: the goal is to keep taking heat away all night, not to chill you.
How does it cool without a compressor?
Luna uses evaporative cooling. Warm water from the pad runs over a wet filter in the tower while a fan moves air through it. Some water evaporates and takes heat with it, so the water going back to the pad is cooler.
Does it work in humid rooms?
Yes, but less. Evaporative cooling works best in normal to dry air. In a very humid room the water cools less. Running AC or a dehumidifier in the room helps.
Does Luna heat too?
No. Luna only cools. That is part of why it costs a fraction of systems that cool and heat.
How loud is it?
Luna has 9 fan levels, from about 32 dB on level 1 to about 47 dB on level 9, measured at 30 cm. The low levels are a soft hum; the high levels sound like gentle white noise.
How often do I refill it?
Up to every 2 weeks with normal use. On high fan levels or in dry rooms, more often. Use clean water.
How do I keep it clean?
Use clean water, air-dry the pad every couple of weeks, and drain and dry the system before storing it for a longer time.
Will it fit my bed?
The pad is 39 x 71 in. It covers a twin bed, or one side of a queen or king. It goes under your fitted sheet on any mattress.
We both sleep hot. Do we need two?
Yes. Each Luna cools one side. With two, each of you gets your own unit and your own setting.
